Kimberly Guilfoyle has found her “perfect match” in fiancé, Donald Trump Jr. After knowing the Trump family for years, Guilfoyle and Don Jr. started dating in 2018, following his divorce from his ex-wife Vanessa, with whom he shares five children. After one date with Donald Trump’s eldest son, Guilfoyle said she knew the relationship would last.
A Sparkling Beginning
“Don and I knew each other for years, but when we went on one date years later, that was it. Sparks. In fact, we have been together from that night on, happily ever after!” Guilfoyle told Metropolitan Palm Beach magazine in 2022. Since getting engaged in 2020, Guilfoyle and Don Jr. have stuck by each other’s sides, whether on the campaign trail or at their home with their blended family in Jupiter, Florida.
A Dynamic Duo
“We really are a team, we support each other, we’re best friends,” Guilfoyle shared during a 2021 appearance on Successful Philanthropy. “We have great conversations and a lot of laughs together. It’s great we have such a strong relationship. It’s never wavered, and I really feel blessed to be a part of it.”
Early Life and Education
Kimberly Guilfoyle was born on March 9, 1969, in San Francisco. Her parents, Mercedes and Anthony, raised her in the Mission District before moving to the Westlake area. When she was just 10 years old, her mother died. After this loss, Guilfoyle has said she remembers growing up “surrounded by love,” with her “own personal guardian angel watching over” her. She attended Mercy High School in San Francisco and later the University of California, Davis.
Legal Career Beginnings
After graduating from UC Davis, Guilfoyle enrolled at the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in school, she interned at the San Francisco district attorney’s office, which later helped her launch a career as a prosecutor. In 1994, she graduated from USF and got a job in the same office where she had interned during law school. Later, Guilfoyle moved to Los Angeles, where she was hired as a deputy district attorney, working on adult and juvenile cases.
Media Presence and Fox News
In 2004, Guilfoyle headed to New York to pursue a career in broadcasting. She signed on to host the Court TV series Both Sides and served as a legal analyst for numerous programs, including Good Morning America, Larry King Live, and Anderson Cooper 360. Then, in 2006, Guilfoyle joined Fox News as the host of The Lineup. When the program was canceled, she remained with the network and worked as a legal analyst and contributor for shows like The O’Reilly Factor and Hannity. In 2011, she was hired as a co-host of The Five, and three years later, she also signed on to co-host Outnumbered.
Relationship with Donald Trump Jr.
Guilfoyle was first linked to Don Jr. in early 2018, around the time his ex-wife, Vanessa, filed for divorce. Shortly after beginning their relationship, the pair were spotted arriving at a party together. Then, in June, they were seen showing lots of PDA during a date night in New York City. The couple’s relationship was officially confirmed later that month when Don Jr.’s ex Vanessa showed her support for their blossoming romance. On social media, she even defended Guilfoyle from the backlash she was facing due to her relationship with Don Jr.
Blending Families and Engagement
Over the course of the next year, Guilfoyle and Don Jr. made numerous appearances together — from celebrating Guilfoyle’s 50th birthday to spending time at Trump’s club Mar-a-Lago to hanging out at the White House. In 2021, the pair bought an estate in Jupiter, Florida for their blended family of Don Jr.’s five kids and Guilfoyle’s son. “We’re very committed and very in love. He is my sweetheart. I already feel married and committed to him, 100 percent,” Guilfoyle said on Successful Philanthropy in 2021. “Being his wife would be… fantastic. I absolutely adore the family.”
Professional Ventures and Philanthropy
For years, Guilfoyle has been a passionate supporter of Trump. According to The Mercury News, she originally met the former president at a charity event after she moved to New York in 2004. “I think I have a very good relationship with the president. I think I enjoy a very straightforward and authentic, very genuine relationship, one that’s built on trust and integrity,” she told the outlet in 2017. At one point, it was even rumored that she was being considered for the role of Trump’s press secretary. While she didn’t join the communications team, she was allegedly considered more than once for the position.
A Traditional Relationship
After over three years of dating, Guilfoyle and Don Jr. seemingly announced their engagement on New Year’s Day in 2022. In an Instagram post of her and Don Jr. in front of a Christmas tree, she displayed a diamond on her ring finger. “Tonight was extra special celebrating @donaldjtrumpjr’s birthday,” she captioned the photo. “Don, you are strong, smart, courageous, funny and the love of my life. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. Love you.”
Looking Ahead
As they continue to navigate their lives together, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Donald Trump Jr. remain steadfast in their commitment to each other and their blended family. Their story is one of enduring love, mutual support, and a shared dedication to their personal and professional endeavors.
